We just hit 10k investors on OpenVC

We just passed 10k investors listed on OpenVC!

That's 10,000+ VCs, angels, accelerators, and family offices that invest in tech companies for your searching pleasure.

(And yes, access to the database remains free!)

10k is a big milestone for us, but even more for our users.

Our mission at OpenVC is to help founders raise funds. The more investors we list, the more chances you have. Simple maths.

But to make this happen, we made one big change.

For the past 4 years, we’ve had investors sign up to OpenVC. They tell us who they are, what they invest in, and how they want to be contacted. This is ideal, because that's the freshest data you can get, directly from the horse's mouth.

However, quality comes at a price - it's slow.

The database was growing slowly, and founders got increasingly frustrated with that.

“I love OpenVC but you guys only have a fraction of the investors I need 🫠”

We heard you, and we made a big change.

Introducing our *hybrid* investor database:

  • Verified investors: Still there, still growing. That's the best data you can get.
  • Non-verified investors: New profiles that we automatically add from public sources.

To know if an investor is Verified, look for the blue checkmark on their profile.

Obviously, we want every Non-verified investor to eventually become Verified. But until then, all founders using OpenVC will benefit from an extended list of investors.

And when we say "extended", we mean it:

In the next 100 days, we will be adding 100 new investors PER DAY to OpenVC.

See you in March 2026 for the final count!

Are investors so dumb that they want to see revenue? Shouldn't they bet on the team? Yeah... no.
